Business Operations & Strategy

Building the operating infrastructure executives actually run on.

I get hired when strategy exists but execution doesn't. 15 years building the measurement systems, operating cadences, and cross-functional programs that turn plans into work that actually gets done.

Austin, TX · Full-time, fractional, and advisory engagements

Currently: Fractional strategy and operations consultant. Open to what's next.
How I work

The throughline across my career: leadership knew what they wanted to accomplish, but couldn't see what was working, measure what mattered, or scale what they'd built. NetSuite had a churn problem and no lifecycle infrastructure. Extend was breaking under growth with a hand-built GTM motion. EA had a portfolio exceeding $10M in annual investment and no shared way to evaluate it. Different problems, same job: build the operating clarity that lets executives make decisions and teams execute against them. And build it so it keeps working once I'm not the one running it.

01

Operating systems that survive turnover

Measurement frameworks, decision rights, and operating cadences built so teams can run them without me. Most operations work creates dependence on the operator. This doesn't.

02

Cross-functional execution without formal authority

Aligning Sales, Success, Product, IT, and Finance when I don't run any of them. Most of my career has been this: getting teams to move together without the org chart forcing it.

03

Executive arguments, not status reports

Translating operational data into the arguments that actually change what gets funded and prioritized. Most leaders have plenty of dashboards. What they need is someone willing to read the data and recommend a call.

How to work with me

I'm open to three modes of engagement, depending on the problem and the timing.

Full-time leadership

Director and Principal-level roles where the mandate is operating clarity, cross-functional execution, and executive decision support. Tech and SaaS preferred. Austin or remote, open to relocation for the right role.

Target titles: Director or Head of Business Operations, Director Strategy and Operations, Director GTM Program Management, Principal Business Operations, Chief of Staff reporting to COO, CRO, or VP-level.

Fractional and advisory

Embedded engagements for companies that need senior operating muscle without a full-time hire. Typical scope: building the first measurement system, standing up GTM operating infrastructure, or running a critical cross-functional program through execution.

Project-based

Defined scope, clear deliverable, fixed timeline. Past examples include onboarding redesigns, customer health frameworks, executive operating reviews, and AI readiness assessments.
